change "/id" to # in the word file

How can I change “/id” to “#” in a temporary citation such that it looks like {smith, 2000, #10}?

It sounds like you’re looking to make this change so that EndNote can take over the formatting of your Word document.  If this is correct, you would make the desired change by formatting your document one last time using a Reference Manager output style called “RefMan to EndNote.os”.  After you’ve formatted with the mentioned style, your citations would change to the format that you’ve described.  At this point, you would strip out the Reference Manager field code which allow EndNote to begin reformatting the document.  The full steps for document conversion can be found here -  Please let me know if this helps.
