Creating empty file from existing file

A collaborator wants to provide me with some entries to put into a large database that we will share (currently about 15,000 entries). I want to keep the “master” while he creates new entries, and I expect to be updating the master.

How can I provide him with an empty file with reference types and settings the same as my “Master”?

You need to share your Ref Type table if you have edited the standard out of the box defaults in your preferences.  These are machine specific.  see this faq.
