Why is it that, when I copy (or cut) a section containing a citation out of a text and paste it into a new document - the reference is deleted in the bibliography in the original paper but does not appear in the copied or second version?
The paste process doesn’t usually trigger the CWYW process, but when you insert another reference, it should update those as well. If not, run the format bibliography tool on the word document and if it still doesn’t work, then try unformatting the document and reformating. When you unformat a document, it turn CWYW off, and you need to re-engage it from the third tab of the dialogue box.
