Endnote adds [~] suffix to in-text citations

Hi everyone,

Since upgrading to Endnote X3 (from X1), all of my in-text citations are left with [~] and the ref number as a suffix. This stays here even after updating the citations/bibliography, and the only way I have found to remove it is to manually edit each reference and delete it from the ‘suffix’ box.

This didn’t happen in X1, can someone help?

You have probably sorted this out, but did you try a different style?  I suspect the style you were using had somehow been changed to insert the random character.
