Agree with above, plus next things:

  1. Search and highlight duplicates not just by Author, Title and so on, but also by custom fields.

  2. Automate PubMed or other online search for updating partially filled references as a batch: for cases where only first Author known or just journal and volume.

  3. Possibility to highlight certain references with color.

  4. Possibility (if not yet exist) to easily change one field in multiple references without doing it one by one.

That is already possible with the “change and move fields” option under tools.  There is also the “change text” under edit, for global changes.

Make X3 natively compatible with Mellel, one of the best unicode word processors out there. Having to save Mellel documents as RTF documents and then have EndNote format bibliography just is not a feasible solution.

Who in the real world converts their documents to RTF in order run it through EndNote? RTF is such a simplistic document format it loses most of the document’s format. Considering that people who use EndNote often produce somewhat sophisticated documents from dissertations (with tables, charts, graphs, different line-spacing, different font), to technical documents etc. , converting these documents to RTF format is not only a major hassle but a nightmare in attempting to maintain or reinstate the original document formats?

Please make X3 natively compatible with Mellel.
