I am working on a chapter in a book using endnotes. The sequensing of the endnotes has failed. Can anyone help?
Specifically, I had a paragraph of text in which there were 2 references (8 and 9) both with endnotes. I moved reference 8 to the paragraph above, then deleted the paragraph in which it had been, therefore also deleting reference 9. The amended text shows reference 8 and endnote 8 but the next endnote is 10, not 9. In other words the endnote sequence has not adjusted; it does not seem to recognize the deletion of 9.
