Just got an e-mail from Thomson-Reuters that states:
“It’s time to upgrade at the best price ever … This is especially good news for anyone upgrading to the new Microsoft Office versions 2010 for Windows and 2011 for Mac. EndNote X4 is compatible with both new word processors.”
Does beta software count in this regard? Or has there been an update of which I’m unaware? If not, TR is engaging in false advertising, and I’ll be lodging a complaint with the FTC. If a user does not wish to install beta software (an often wise decision), Endnote X4 is NOT compatible with Office 2011.
PS Does anyone have contact info for TR Legal? I would want to check with them before filing with the FTC.
