I suggest that the author field in the reference list on the main window be more flexible. Currently, we have two options: (1) only the first author’s last name; (2) all the authors’ last name and initials. Whilst the former is not enough informative and makes it hard to distinguish multi-author references where the first author is the same, the latter is too crowded and makes it too hard to quickly find a reference because of all the initials between the last names. How about a third option displaying only the authors’ last name? Or better yet, why not making this a flexible field where we can arrange it the way we want using a configurtion dialogue where we could specify we want only the first three authors’ last name for example?
