How do I get APA references first time all names, next times et al. in word for Mac version 14.6.4?

I have trouble getting et al in my text every time I re-use a reference. I set Library for the text at APA, register all authors on seperate lines, what do I do wrong?

It works ok when three authors or more, but not with two authors. Is this a setting somewhere?

The APA 6th output style’s setting of the Author Lists (Citation) is correct. The meaning of “et al.” refers to “and others” and does not apply in the case of two authors . However,“et al.” would apply in the case of three or more authors.
