# Inserting record numbers in text

originally (in REFMAN) I used to be able to type the record number like this {3652} and the reference would be insterted, when i converted to EndNote, i was told to use {#3652} , Endnote does recognize this and links it to the proper reference, but then the name does not show: (&nbsp; &nbsp; , 2012).&nbsp;

Does anyone know why? and how do i fix this?
