I am running Endnote X9 on MAC OS Catalina (10.15.1) using Microsoft Word for MAC (v16.35). My issue is not a huge one, rather a subtly annoying one. In my word document, my in-text citations are properly formatted as superscript numbers using the ACS output style. When I convert the word document into a pdf, these in-text citations go from being in superscript into subscript for no apparent reason. I have no idea how to fix this. Has anyone experienced this before/know how to address the issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
