Hi,
How can I prevent Endnotes from forcing the doi to be underlined? Most of the journals I submit to do not want the doi underlined, but Endnotes seems to force the doi field to be underlined within the record and the subsequent bibliography.
My current work around after importing a record, e.g. from ISI Web of Science, is to highlight and “cut” the doi field contents leaving it blank. Then, I close the record, reopen the record and paste the doi back into the doi field, hit tab, and then close the record again. This normally turns off the underlining, but if I make any modifications to other fields I have to go through the process again. It gets really annoying and for some records I have not been able to get this to work.
Thanks for any suggestions. If it matters, I am currently using Endnotes X1 on a Mac.
