Same time next year? JCR 2012 Data are finalized

by ‎09-30-2013 06:32 PM - edited ‎10-02-2013 03:49 PM

The JCR 2012 has been reloaded.

153 journals have been added or updated, bringing the total count of titles in the JCR to 10,936.

With the update, all Eigenfactor Metrics are recalculated.  These network metrics are affected by any/all changes to any element in the network.  While the change to an Eigenfactor or Article Influence Score for any individual journal may fall below detection in the published metric, all values represent the results of the recalculation.

Rank-in-category for individual journals and Aggregate metrics for categories may also have changed.

2013 JCR data will be published in June of 2014.

It would be very useful to get an overview of what changes have been imposed.

@HVH :  From June to September, we include information in the Notices File about each change.  Once the September reload is complete, the idea of a "change" has no meaning since the product contains the new data and the old data are no longer accessible anywhere.

As I noted in the original post, the Eigenfactor metrics, because they are calculated using the entire JCR Citing/Cited network are "changed" for every journal - the question is only whether the change is detectable in the final outcome.

If a journal is dropped from jcr, when does that become effective?
