CWYW Plugin Breaks in Word

I have a problem where the CiteWhileYouWrite plugin for word (I don’t have any EndNote software, just a web user) mysteriously breaks after an unknown cause. More specifically, I can use the plugin fine on a new document for an indefinite amount of time, however, sometimes when trying to insert a citation into a document that already has many inserted citations, the plugin reference search interface does a weird jump, then returns a search for bracketed numbers within my document, i.e. I have a series of numbers in a text box for a figure {2, 4, 6, 8}, the plugin then uses the numbers in the brakets as a search query, all I have done at this point is hit the “Insert” button for my citation and this happens. When I close out of the interface I find that the citation not been added as a superscript but instead as bracketed {} text and the master bibliography in the document is not updated. After this happens, the insert function is permantely corrupted (the weird query doesn’t occurr again) and citations are always entered as bracketed text and not updated in the document biliography, but ONLY for documents that already have citations. This happened once and with great difficulty I was able to get it working again by careful un- and re- installation of plugin, but it is so inconvenient, especially with thea large document.

Any help is appreciated.
