EndNote Desktop corrupting PDF files

[ Edited ]

Here's an example of my workflow....

1) Find an article on Web of Science

2) Download citations to EndNote

3) Find the article from my University library (or NCBI or anywhere really)

4) Attach it

After saving a PDF in EndNote I am able to read the contents in EndNote, but if I open that exact same PDF in Adobe it is corrupted in the sense that the text is not copiable - although the PDF *looks* ok.

For example I am able to copy and paste data from the article before attaching it

Copied and pasted from Adobe

Curiously, we noticed very little NEDD8-ylation of overexpressed HA-tagged wild-type Cul-1. Therefore, we tested whether endogenous Cul-1

Re: EndNote Desktop corrupting PDF files

I recommend contacting Tech support but they will want to know: what Operating system and what version of endnote?

Have you ensured you have updated/upgraded endnote to the most recent version?  (X8.2)

If that does not help then:

I recommend that you contact Technical Support directly

1-800-336-4474 option 4 then 1 or
