EndNote X1 for MAC and Word 2004 (11.5) "Compile error in hidden module: ThisDocument"

This exact same problem was reported for Endnote  X 0.2 and even though is was marked as solved, it really is not:

There are other users who still have the problem and posted on the forums AND the same problem exists in Endnote X1 for MAC with Word 11.5.0 running on OS 10.4.11. Please let me know if a real solution exists because we have about 300 Mac users at the company with the same problem.
