EndNote X8.2 build 13302 fails to import references

Since updating to EndNote X8.2 reference importing fails sporadically. Today it doesn’t work at all. Clarivate help desk told me to restart EndNote and my computer, but that doesn’t fix it. Then they stopped chatting with me.

I am using MacOS 10.13.3 and I am very frustrated.

importing from where? via a connect file or via an import filter?  Try a different browser if using a web site rather than internal “connection” search in the online mode from within endnote.
