Endnote X8 toolbar showing in Word 2016 but not Powerpoint 2016

I just installed EndNote X8 and I noticed that while the Endnote toolbar shows up in Word it doesn’t in Powerpoint — using the 2016 Mac version if that matters. Is there any way I can fix this?

EndNote works with PowerPoint on Windows but does not work with PowerPoint on a MAC.

EndNote on a MAC will work with Apple Pages and Microsoft Word only.
