Endnote X9 (Win) doesn't import journal name

Dear all

I’ve recently upgraded to EN X9 and it works well, all but for one annoyance.

When I (direct) import a citation from a publishers website it works ok, apart form the journal name, which remains blank (but the journal name is added to the information in the DOI field).

This happen with files from a range of different publishers, so makes me feel that this is a common issue. Anyone else seeing this issue, and if so, is there a fix?

Cheers

Chris

You can replace the current EndNote Import filter with the one from our website.

https://endnote.com/wp-content/uploads/plugins/filters/EndNote%20Import.enf

Double-click on the downloaded file to open it.

Click the File menu in EndNote and select Save As.

Be sure to save it with same name then Click Save then Close the window.

You can now delete the file that was downloaded a copy has been added to EndNote.

You can now try to export again.

Hi Tony

I am having the same issue with newly purchased Endnote 9X on a mac. I tried to save the new import filter but I am still having the same issue where the journal name is in the author field. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Ashley

Please be sure you saved the file with the same name or even go to Applications \ EndNote \ Filters and delete the current EndNote Import filter.

You can then do the same steps to download the file.

If that does not resolve the issue then please contact Technical Support directly.
