Office 2019 and Office 365 are now version 16.17 and later.
If you have the most up to date release of Office 2016/2019/365 installed, you will have version 16.xx installed. You can verify your version by opening any office application, like Word. You can then click the Word menu and select About Word to see the version. If this reads 16.xx, you have the latest release of Office.
The production version of EndNote X8 and later have been updated to be compatible with this version of Word. If you have EndNote X8, you can update to version X8.2 All versions of EndNote after X8.2 will be designed to be compatible with this version of Word.
You can find this information on our website as well.
does not show version number and build, beyond the main one like EndNote X9. How to know the latest version available to download? For instance, EndNote X9 version 19.0.0 (13682).
I understand why the poster asks. It does make sense to have the build available, so one can tell at a glance whether it is the one you have or a later one. Good software practice.
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I know that should be the latests version and build, but as Leanne said, you do not know which one it is until you download it, open the disk image and check it out. Maybe to discover that you already had it.
Therefore, it would be really convenient and useful if such download page indicated version and build (even release date would be useful as well), so that you can check if you have or not the latest one already.
