Local Sync Library does not connect to the Online Library after password was changed

Hello,

I am using EndNote X9.3.1 on a MacBook. Recently I changed the password for my Online Sync Library. Now my Local Sync Library does not connect to the Online Library anymore with error message "The username/password specified is not valid." I don't know how to provide my Local Library with the new password. How can I fix this problem? Thank you!

Hello Thomas,

 

You can update the password in EndNote.

 

Go to the EndNote menu next to the Apple menu in the Upper Left.

 

Click on Preferences.

 

On the new window that appears on the left hand side go to Sync.

 

Here you will have the current log in details.

 

Clear the Password box and enter the new password.

 

Click Save at the bottom right.

 

Close the Preferences window.

 

Go to Tools and Sync.

 

You should now be able to sync your library again.
