You can control if there is a space between the references or not via the EndNote tools.
Open your document.
Open your EndNote library.
In EndNote go to Tools then Cite While You Write then Format Bibliography.
A new window appears.
Click on the Layout Tab.
At the bottom you can change the setting for Space after:
Click OK to have the change applied to the document.
