Found the problem.
For anyone experiencing the same issue. My problem was that the Fields “Author” and “Journal (Secondary title)” was not linked to the term lists. To fix this you need to go to:
Tools–> Define Term Lists…
Press the button “Link Lists…”
Make sure that the Field “Author” is Linked with the Author term list and the Field "Journal (Secondary title) is linked to the Journal term list.
