Tabs within fields

Is it possible to insert a tab within a field in Endnote (X1 for Mac)?

For example, in writing notes on a reference in the Abstract field I’m sure that in Endnote versions 1 to 7 (I skipped 8 and 9) I used to insert a page number, then a Tab then my notes. I’ve forgotten how, but it was a keyboard combination. I’ve tried all sorts of keyboard combinations in ENX without finding it, and Endnote Help doesn’t help.

Don’t know on a Mac, but in Windows, I can never remember clever key combinations - so I type two tabs in a word document with non-printing characters showing, copy one and paste it in.
