killing appleeventsd did indeed get ENX6, Word 1.4.2.4 and Mac OS 10.8.2 behaving considering better. Was getting COM errors and today “error = -1712”.
appleeventsd will relaunch at some stage though, after reboot for sure and in my experiments, by quitting Word and starting at again.
Are we waiting for an EndNote update or 10.8.3?
