Two page ranges in a single reference

This should be simple but I can't find out how to make it work.

I have a refence with two page ranges, since it is continued later in the issue. So the pages field looks like

593–600, 652–657

but the style is to only use essnrtial digits, so it should come out like

593-600, 652-7

but I keep getting

593–600, 52–7

is there a way to fix it? Or a verbatim command to force it to give the text exactly as in the database? I don't want to change the formatting of all my refs just to fix one.

Re: Two page ranges in a single reference

use the suffix field instead of the pages field, which will not accomodate multiple page entries, as it applies the same rules as the Pages field in an output style.
