We have Endnote X9 installed on a remote desktop server, with Redirected user folders configured, and most of the time users access endnote libraries and word documents via Mapped drives. When workin gin larger Word documents with citations, there is EXTREME input lag, so much so that you can type a paragraph, come back in 2o minutes and it’ll still be typing your text.
This remote desktop server has 24 CPU cores (Xeon e5-2690v2) assigned, with 64GB of RAM for only 6 users. The rest of the server is very responsive, the issue seems to be localized to End Note and Word when EndNote is in use.
Do you have any recommendations for how to address this?
