Can´t edit references in EndNote x7.7.1

It used to be possible to just click on the reference that needs to be updated, but now all the happens is that the message “there are no pdfs attached” appears.

When you edit a reference you have different view modes.

You can look at just the pdf on a single window. When in this mode you need to click an option to get back to the reference view.

Please the attached screenshots for help on how to switch back.
