Capitalisation in X9 & Word for Mac 16.41

Capitalisation in my Output Style is set to  ‘Leave titles as entered’. This is fine for all the 3,000 references in the Library, except for about 15 which are chapters in a particular book. EN won’t capitalise the Book Title, either in the Preview Panel, or when the Bibliography is generated. I’ve tried adding the relevant words to the ‘Don’t change capitalisation’ list, but this doesn’t work. I’ve tried deleting a reference and adding it to the Library again - it still defaults to Sentence Case. I don’t understand why the problem only occurs with this book and its chapters. Does EN have a grudge against this book’s editor, or am I doing something wrong?

The Book Title is a different field than the Title so it is not controlled by the setting for Title Capitalization. You would need to edit the Book Tile to be the format you want for it to appear that way in Word.

Once you have edited the reference in EndNote then save the changes and then in Word Update the Citations and Bibliography.

If the change does not show up in Word then try the following steps:

Could it be linked to a “journal” type terms list, since it is a secondary title field?
