Citing dashed page numbers

Hello!

I need to do an in-text citation for an appendix page number: p. A-2. When I put the dash, I always get pp. A-2, which implies that the pages go from A to 2.

Is there a way to tell Endnote that A-2 is just one page? Can I edit the citation to fix it?  I’m using Endnote X9 with APA 6th style.

I don’t use CWYW-- I prefer working with the unformatted citations because I write a lot of drafts on Google Docs. Bonus points if you can tell me how to modify the {National Aeronautics and Space Administration, 2013 #6@A-2} so it works. :slight_smile:

Since this a different kind of page number you will want to enter it as a Suffix instead of Pages.

You would have an unformatted citation:

{National Aeronautics and Space Administration, 2013 #6 p.A-2}

You should end up with a citation in the format you want.

I find that if you put in “p. A-2” in the pages (no quotes), it works too.  This obviously would only work if you tend to use the same style, so you can enter it the way you want it to appear.

(but I see you are talking about the citation and not the bibliography entry, in which case Tony’s suffix solution is the best!)
