Endnote X9 ".Data folder missing message", but it's NOT

I am trying to open an X9 library on another computer (Mac). The .enl file and the .Data folder are in the same folder and have the same root name but Endnote warns me the .Data folder is mising and opens an empty library. What can I do to fix this?

EndNote X9.3 for Mac converts the EndNote library into a new database engine and would need a similar version to open the files converted or created by that version of EndNote.

You should check the version of EndNote install and if it is not updated to X9.3 then install the update to the software and then you should be able to open the library.
