How to make Endnote the standard tool/location for importing citations

Hello,

Im runnng Endnote X8 on a Mac.

Whenever I download a citation to my mac (e.g. from web of knowledge, google scholar, etc) I double click the file in my downloads, but then have to find Endnote as the programme to open the file, and then have to find my endnote library as the location for that file.

Is there a way to make it so that Endnote is the standard prgramme for opening such files and that it automaticically adds them to my endnote library rather than having to assign it each time I find and want to import a citation?

Much appreciate any support here!

Robbie
