I have similar problem, but my output style is little different then you have suggested. I wish to combine three references in text like this "Tripathi(1970,1973,1976)". But when I use your suggested method it gives me the output style like this "Tripathi (1970, (1973, (1976) ". Have you noticed the unnecessary parentheses?
Kindly guide me how can I get rid of these unnecessary parentheses
