Importing xxx.enw citation file into Endnote 7.0 for Mac

Hi,

I’m using Endnote 7.0 for Mac (OS 10.4), trying to import an xxx.enw “Endnote” citation file downloaded from the Wiley Journals site. The desired file is grayed out (not selectable) in the “Choose” window. Is my software too old or is there a work-around?

Thanks,

Ken

A file with the extension .enw should be a plain text file with the EndNote tagging (e.g. %A for Author, %T for Title).

These files can be filtered into EndNote using the normal Import procedure. For the filter (Import Option), select “EndNote Import”.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John,

Your hint about it being a “text file” did the trick for me. I just changed the “.enw” extension to “.txt”.  Then Endnote 7.0 recognized the file and imported it correctly using “EndNote Import.”

Thanks again,

Ken
