Line instead of author in case of repetition

Dear users,

I have a question regarding cases where an author is repeated in the bibliography.

I am using APA-style and at the moment, the bibliography appears like this if an author appears multiple times:

Doe, John. (2020). Title 1…

Doe, John. (2019). Title 2…

Is it possible only to state the authors name once and then just put a line? Like the following:

Doe, John. (2020). Title 1…

-------------. (2019). Title 2…

I have seen it in multiple bibliographys in books and would like to copy the style.

Thanks a lot.

If you are using the desktop version of Endnote, you can alter the subsequent works by same author setting under Bibliography>Author Lists – see the attached image for the option.  I don’t think it will end up being the exact length of the author entry though, but I have not tested it.

I also facing same problem.
