I have created an output style (Aquaculture) in Endnote to list references with 3 or more authors with the first authors name followed with et al. However when i select a reference and insert the citation in Word it inserts in a different output style (called author-name). The style seems to default back to this “author-name” output style each time which is not the format I want. Could anyone suggest how i ensure that the citation is inserted in the prefereed “aquaculture” output style.
Manually format the manuscript and change the style selected in the menu window, and click okay. This should fix the problem. Changing it in Endnote itself only applies that choice to newly created/formated documents.
