citation in codes

hello there,

I am a new endnote x8 user

Endnote.was working wonderfully last week.

However, it has been two days now when I click on cite button then I got the citation presented in codes.

would you please how to fix it up.

It sounds like you inadvertantly turned off auto formating.  You can manually update (Update citations and bibliography) but best to turn it back on on the Endnote Ribbon in Word (see image attached).
