In order to keep up to date with publications, I typically use RSS feeds from PubMed and e-mail alerts.
I wish EndNote could natively support RSS Streams, but I fear implementation is a bit labor intensive and might not come any time soon.
Short of that, a few more simple improvements to the saved searches would be great:
- Keep and display saved searches in the sidebar
- Have searches that support displaying “new results” (e.g.: automatically adjust the publication date range to the last time the search was performed)
- Supporting more than 10 search fields would be GREAT (and others requested that before too)
- More complex combinations (like grouping AND OR NOT by parenthesis) or even raw searches (entering the PubMed query syntax for isntance, would be a really useful addition).
