I want to configure the formatting of my bibliography but receive the message that “the value should be between -8.000 and 8.000 in” despite having entered 0.500 in for hanging indent (see attachment).
Any help would be much appreciated. I imported the bibliography as a travelling library and it seems fine otherwise.
Is it possible the output style has an error in the hanging indent parameter? I find that when this is specified in the output style itself, it often overrides the format bibliography settings… can you get it to work switching to a different output style, and back again?
I had the same problem. I solved it by letting the space for “Hanging indent” empty or using “0”. (Endnote x8, Word 2016)
For example: First line indent: 0.000; Hanging indent: 0
Marx, C., Hawelka, S., Schuster, S., & Hutzler, F. (2015). An incremental boundary study on parafoveal preprocessing in children reading aloud: Parafoveal masks overestimate the preview benefit. Journal of Cognitive Psychology, 27(5), 549-561. doi:10.1080/20445911.2015.1008494
If you wanna create “Hanging indents” between integers you should use decimal points.
For example: First line indent: 0.000; Hanging indent: 0,2

561. doi:10.1080/20445911.2015.1008494
But I have to admit that I’m a beginner in Endnote, so there might be better ways to solve it or that solution might result in other issues.
