Problems with MHRA style

I think that you can sort some of these problems by editing the style - I asked the same question of tech support and got the following answer. I’ve also asked them to update the style and get it right

To edit the style, open EndNote X6 and then click Edit > Output Style > Open Style Manager. Here locate the style and double click on it to open it.

To include page numbers in Footnotes

1.Click ‘Templates’ below ‘Footnotes’

2.Under ‘Journal Articles’, if you’d wish you could delete ‘Cited Pages’ and then click the ‘Insert Field’ to inculde ‘Pages’. Alternatively, you could also click Tools > Edit & Manage Citation(s) and then insert the page number in the suffix field

 Modifying Author Names

  1. Under ‘Citations’ click ‘Author Name’

  2. On the right pane, you could change the ‘First Author’ to reflect ‘Smith, Jane’ and the other authors to reflect ‘Doe, John’. This would display the citations to appear as last name, first name

Sort order

By default the citations are sorted based on the Author and the Title. To change the sort order of the bibliography, click ‘Sort Order’ under ‘Bibliography’ and choose your requirement from the right pane.

After you’ve edited the style, click File > Save As to save a copy of your style. Once done, please be sure to choose the edited style in your document for the change to reflect.

Hope this helps
