Removing RM11 from Word 2003

Hello,

I’d like to remove the RM11 toolbar Word 2003, but uninstalling doesn’t do this. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks

G

 Hello,

You most likely have the Reference Manager 11 add-in files still loading in your Word startup folder.  You’ll want to remove these Reference Manager 11 files from the Word startup folder itself.   The default path for this folder on Windows XP is:

C:\Documents and Settings[Your User Name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startup

For Windows Vista, the Word startup folder path should be:

C:\Users[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP.

If you navigate to this folder, are you able to find any RM11 files stored within?  If you see any labeled with RM11, I’d suggest dragging the file to your Recycle Bin.  Afterwards, open Word again and check to see if you’re still able to find the Reference Manager 11 Cite While You Write commands.

Thank you - this worked.

My other issue with error appyling transforms, etc., seems to have resolved itself - no idea how, but I don’t mind!
