author's names with 2 words are note correctly downloaded from PubMed in RefMan12

Hi,

If if dowdload a reference from PubMed in which an author has a last name in two words (for instance, “de Duve” or “Van Bambeke”, which is is common situation for many European authors, the name is incorrectly entered in the file. It is entered as “de,Duve” our “Van,Bambeke” with a comma between the first and the second word,as if the second word was the first name and the first word the last name.

In RefMan 10, this affected author’s names in 3 words, which is rather rare.  But in RefMan 12, it affects author’s names in 2 words, whihc is much more annoying.

Demonstration:

  • searching for reference with PubMed ID 8282005 which (in Pubmed) is: " Van Bambeke F , Mingeot-Leclercq MP, Schanck A, Brasseur R, Tulkens PM. Alterations in membrane permeability induced by aminoglycoside antibiotics: studies on liposomes and cultured cells. Eur J Pharmacol. 1993 Oct 15;247(2):155-68. PubMed PMID: 8282005." yields in RefMan12 an authors’ list "  Van, BambekeF. ; Mingeot-Leclercq,M.P.; Schanck,A.; Brasseur,R.; Tulkens,P.M.", as is “Van” was the last names and “Bambeke F.” the first name…

  • seraching for reference with PubMed ID 24279198 which (in PubMed) is:  " Van De Velde M, Vercauteren M, Stockman W, Roelants F, Coppens M, Bauters M, Ickx B, Dewandre PY, Soetens F, Cant P, Van Keer L, Gautier P. Recommendations and guidelines for obstetric anesthesia in Belgium. Acta Anaesthesiol Belg. 2013;64(3):97-104. PubMed PMID: 24279198" will yield in RefMan 12 and 10 an the authors’list: " Van,de,V ; Vercauteren,M.; Stockman,W.; Roelants,F.; Coppens,M.; Bauters,M.; Ickx,B.; Dewandre,P.Y.; Soetens,F.; Cant,P.; Van Keer,L.; Gautier,P.  as is “Van” was the last name, “de” a first name, and “V” another first name, and the “Velde M” completely ignored.

How can I correct that ?

yes, please help with this problem.
