Term manager : Journals : include ISSN

I would like to be able to include a journal's print and electronic ISSNs with each journal record. Perhaps, if this could be implemented, the direct export and import processes could use the ISSN and we could avoid the problems from the many possible formats of the journal title and abbreviations.

Re: Term manager : Journals : include ISSN

I second this suggestion to have both the print and electronic ISSN stored in RefMan databases, in the Term Manager for journals. We'd also like the ability to include one of or both pISSN or eISSN in an output style.

We use RefMan to send batch interlibrary loan orders, using a custom output style. What our organization is encountering is that Medline and several other medical databases only provide one of the eISSN or pISSN, so only one is imported. Furthermore neither our ILL system nor suppliers don't have a database linking a journal's eISSN and pISSN, though often they need pISSN to match correctly. Because of this we have to manually intervene at some point to enter both ISSNs to submit a ILL request, which is time consuming. We need someone along the line to incorporate both for us!
