"Invalid Class String" EndNote X4.0.1 or X4.0.2, Office 2007, Windows XP

I have about 40 users with this software.  Most of them are working OK, however I have one regular user and 9 training room PC’s which I can’t get working.

I originally created a push install using the instructions found on the EndNote site.  While in training, they received ‘Invalid Class String’ errors when trying to use the CWYW portion of EndNote.

I’ve completely removed the software, all the folders, and registry keys.  Then, I made the training ID an administrator of the PC, and reinstalled the software from scratch.  I even downloaded and installed the latest update.

I then opened an EndNote library, opened Word, and was able to use all of the commands in the EndNote ribbon without any problems.  Then, I removed the administrator rights from the account, and now I’m getting the ‘Invalid Class String’ errors whenever I try to use any of the options within the ribbon.

Anyone have any ideas on what else I can try?  Making these user accounts permanent administrators is not an option.

I would contact tech support.  In our institution, we give  full admin rights on XP OS to our users even in the training room.
