Hi! I use EndNote X9.3 libraries stored locally on my computer and I add EndNote citations on Word documents stored on SharePoint. Adding citations on SharePoint docs often cause numerous duplicates, which are really laborious to fix. Are there any tips to avoid duplicates other than working locally? Any solution from Clarivate for current way of working on SharePoints? Any information is welcome. Thanks!
Try adding only unformatted citations to your documents. When you are ready to format check out the document, “update citations” and check it back in.
If several people are working on a document, I find it easier if only one person adds and formats citations (the unformatted citations will have different record numbers from different libraries - even if it is an EndNote Shared Library each copy will have some different record numbers)
