I am using EndNote 2025.1 (build 19456) on Windows 11 Pro v24H2.
Recently, EndNote refuses to end/quit when I try to close the program. No matter what I do – the red X on the top right, selecting “Exit” from the menu, or pressing Ctrl-Q. The only way I can force it to quit is from the Task Manager.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Search the forum on “Endnote won’t quit” I have a dim and distant memory of this cropping up before in other versions. It might be the same problem and the same solution.

I only remember issues with Mac’s and not Windows, in the past.

Me too. Since the update before last. Exactly as the first post in this thread. And it’s not frozen - it works fine, just won’t close.
