I am a first time endnote user and am having trouble understanding how endnote is working. In my document I have attempted to insert a citation from author AMEC. When hovering over the linked number, it displays the wrong reference (see attached). The number of the citation leads to the same incorrect reference in the bibliography (not shown in attached pictures). In the manage citations view however, endnote seems to acknowledge the correct reference (see attached). I’m not sure what would be causing this, and any help would be greatly appreciated!
Really hard to know what is going on. It looks like the reference is the prior one? Are they all shifted? If they are unformated (convert to unformated citations on a copy of the document).
