Error message - object deleted

Hi when I open a Word document, before I do anything at all, I receive an Endnote 20 error message - “Object deleted”. What is this? & please how do I prevent it? Thx

The error points to an EndNote-Word issue. Update both, remove EndNote codes, toggle the plugin, or reinstall EndNote.

  1. Update Word and EndNote to the latest versions.
  2. Look for and delete any leftover EndNote field codes in your document.
  3. Disable and re-enable the EndNote add-in within Word.
  4. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall EndNote (after backing up your data).
