How to add <li> tags to html export references lists

I would like my html export of references to have

tags. I tried it in html mode and they were switched to <li> from

. In text mode, the

blah blah

worked but of course I would like the html lists to work in html mode. Any ideas on how to add the li tags to the exports rather than the default

tags? I’m using APA if that matters.
