I am certain going back to Endnote 8 (not X8) that at one time the record summary would some a preview of any attached images. Usually the cover if it was a book. Also, there was a slot for a picture of the author and other author details? Am I miss remembering, or was this once there?
I am not a constant user of End note. I drop in and out depending on what work I and doing. I am now thinking I made a mistake in upgrading to V20/21
